What Would You Do If You Didn't Receive A Pay Check For 2 Weeks?
Most people, when asked a question like this respond by saying...
...I would be in a horrible mess. I wouldn't be able to feed my kids or myself.
I would be living off credit cards . . . Getting myself into debt. I wouldn't be able to pay the mortgage or the rent, and it would be extremely difficult to cover buying the gas in my car.
I would pull my hair out, and pace around the house trying to think of some solution to fix this.
But you know what? Most people don't have a solution . . . There is no back-up plan. There is no secondary source of income.
As I was flipping through the channels the other day, I ran across the show, Dr. Phil's House. It's a show where couples, who are working on their relationships, all live in the same house together while being counselled by Dr. Phil.
One of the couples really did love one another, and really wanted to make things work . . . But there was just no money coming in. The bills were piling up hig, there was no food on the table, and no forseeable income coming in.
So, the wife had to go out and start stripping (again) just to put some food on the table. Soon, the husband was able to get a steady source of income, and she was able to quit, but look at the cost. And the truth is, how many paychecks are they away from being back into that situation?
1 or 2 maybe.
It doesn't have to be that way . . .
